Some sensations occur without much ado, as they seem to be a matter of course. One such sensation took place at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in 1978 when Herbert von Karajan introduced the 14-year-old violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter to the public in Mozart's G major Concerto. Karajan invited Mutter to make her concerto debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker at the Salzburg Whitsun Festival in 1977, which led to their collaboration on this recording. The Original Source Series features celebrated recordings reissued on vinyl. Remastered by Emil Berliner Studios using 100% analog techniques to create the highest audio quality. Produced on 180g virgin vinyl by Optimal and housed in deluxe gatefold editions, featuring additional photos and/or recording documentation.
